The Airds Room can be set as a twin or as a super king-size double. It has an ensuite toilet and walk-in shower, and being on the top floor of a castle, the Airds Room also incorporates a turreted dressing area. The bedroom window has a view across the gardens to the west and the mountains in the distance, and the turret windows give views to the southwest gate and Loch Dubh.
The Argyll Room has a double aspect with views across the castle garden to the southwest gate, Lochan Dubh and the ancient Scots pines beyond. The room has ornate French antique furniture and has an ensuite toilet and shower room.
The Barcaldine Room is a large comfortable room with antique oak furniture and a four-poster bed. The window faces across the castle garden to the southwest gate, Lochan Dubh and the ancient scots pines beyond. From this window, on a clear evening, you can enjoy the superb colours of the sunset. The bathroom benefits from a roll-top bath and shower and a secret stairway to the hall below.
The Breadalbane Room is the largest of our castle rooms, featuring a super-king-size four-poster bed, commissioned by Andrew Carnegie for Skibo Castle in 1898. The oak flooring compliments the dark oak furniture of the period. The room also offers a stunning view, looking out over Loch Creran to the Appin Hills and, in the distance, Glencoe. In its ensuite bathroom, the room offers plenty of space, with a roll-top bath and walk-in shower.
Extra Child Bed (12-25 years) for room available: £85 per night
The Caithness Room, at the top of the castle, arguably boasts one of the best views to the northeast over Loch Creran and towards Glencoe. The Northwest corner of the room has one of the castle’s three turrets, now a small dressing area. The French antique furniture in this room is complimented by the use of designer fabrics dressing the king-size bed. The en-suite bathroom has two sinks, a roll-top bath and shower.
Extra Child Bed (12-25 years) for room available: £85 per night
Lochnell is a spacious room with exposed stonework and a Portland Stone Fireplace, giving a focal point to the room. The 17th century Jacobean four-poster double bed is complimented by other period furniture. This room shares the Caithness Room’s view to the north across Loch Creran, as well as a stunning view from the southeast castle turret, inside which is a carved writing desk and a mirror. The ensuite bathroom has two sinks, a roll-top bath and shower.
