Barcaldine Castle is a dream location for a small, intimate wedding with your closest friends and family.
During the day, we can cater for up to 36 guests for a wedding. However, in terms of sleeping arrangements, the castle can only accommodate 12 guests in existing beds, with the option to add 3 additional folding child beds. Each wedding at the castle is entirely different and unique in its own way.
We like to meet all couples prior to their big day to discuss and help with arrangements such as hair and make-up, bagpiper, florist, wedding cake and seating plans.
The Registrar charges £489.40-£659.05 to conduct a wedding at Barcaldine Castle. A minimum of 6-8 weeks’ notice is recommended. The Registrar is booked and paid separately by the couple and can be contacted on 01546 605521 (Option 7) or email Nicola.Sturley@argyll-bute.gov.uk

The local Minister makes no charge but a donation to the local churches is welcome and you also need to pay to have the marriage registered. Please enquire here for more information.
Due to the nature of the B&B business, we require 2 night minimum stay. Exclusive Use for all weddings from April to October and between 20th December and 5th January.
There are a number of excellent restaurants within the local area that are suitable for a meal after your ceremony if you require a Ceremony only at the castle.

Included in your facility fee price, we will provide you with two large vases of flowers in keeping with your colour theme. All table cloths and napkins are also included, as well as crockery, glasses, cutlery and wedding furniture for your ceremony and dinner, staffing to move furniture and re-set the room, use of our catering kitchen, BYOB with no corkage charge, chilling facility/ice and an experienced team member to support from planning to delivery of your bespoke event.

Also available is a non-statutory ceremony or a re-dedication of marriage vows. This is an alternative to the legal wedding ceremony and allows the couple to get the best of both worlds.
