Looking to rent a castle in Scotland? The glorious Barcaldine Castle can be your perfect setting for birthdays, anniversaries or simply getting together family and friends. Barcaldine Castle is one of the most luxurious exclusive use venues in Argyll.
Our exclusive castle hire offers six luxury en-suite bedrooms located on the second and third floors (either six doubles or five doubles and a twin). Plus 3 extra child beds at additional cost. Sleeping a maximum of 15.
On the first floor, we have the Great Hall and the Laird’s Parlour; both with grand, open fires, which will roar away during the winter months.
With its warm atmosphere, the castle is the perfect place for relaxing with friends over a drink or perhaps some games or a sing-song. Indeed whenever the castle is occupied by a family or a large group of friends, the whole place has a special homely atmosphere. Winter walks in Argyll can be a delight. Crisp sunny days are not uncommon. A wealth of history and stunning scenery on the doorstep.
For April to the end of October exclusive uses, our staff team will provide breakfast. There is an option to use the kitchen to prepare your own dinner or hire in a local chef. Rooms will be serviced daily.
From November to March, hires are on a self catering only basis. A member of the team will welcome you and be on call to answer any queries but you are otherwise left to make yourselves at home.

From November to March, exclusive use hires are on a self catering basis. A local chef and daily housekeeper can be hired at additional cost if required.
For November to March self catering hires, children of any age are welcome and 2 small well-behaved dogs are allowed on the strict understanding that dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms and dog waste is picked up from the garden.
10% discount for returning guests booking 2 or more nights for exclusive use.
